The Coven

She leaned her head on his shoulder unsure of what he'd say.

Scottie looked up at him as he ran his fingers through her hair.

Scottie smiled back at him her brown eyes met his and her breath caught.

Scottie blushed but she didn't jerk away.

Just then Blake came walking towards the lake and saw them kissing. She was furious and she pushed Datyn away and grabbed up Scottie and despite her protests jerked her all the way back to their room. "What the curse were you thinking?" Blake was nearly yelling.

"What do you mean what was I thinking? You just drug me all the way back to our room and I didn't even have time to get my shoes." Scottie protested sitting down.

"You're worried about your shoes? Mom is going to kill you when she finds out. We are suppose to be having dinner with them tomorrow and you're suppose to go out with Kent!" Blake was screaming now.

"I don't want Kent!"

"You don't know what you want!"

"I know I don't want Kent! I'm not sure of many things but every guy mom has ever set me up with has been a total schmuck! I can't stand Kent and his stuck up attitude. If mom and Dad have a problem with it they can shove it because I'm not giving Kent the time of day." Scottie said and slammed the bathroom door.

Scottie was so livid she didn't know what to do. She waited till she heard the door to her room shut before soming out to change clothes. She put on a pair of shorts and a Veronicas shirt and vans. Heading out the door she made her way to the coffee shop on campus.

Scottie sat at a tbale drinking coffee till they closed adn then she went back to her room and got in bed.

Scottie got up to find her sister still gone and a text message from Blake saying she btter hurry up and get her butt to lunch before their mom has a fit. Bursting fromt he bed she went to her closet and grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and a blouse. Throwing them on she fixed her make up and brushed her hair good. Zipping up her boots and grabbing her jacket she hurried out of the room.

Scottie got all the way to the ferry just intime to see it leaving. The ferry wouldn't be back for another hour or so and by then lunch would be over. Turning the car around she headed back to the school to find Datyn.

Scottie parked her car and sent Blake a message explaining what had happened. Getting out of her car she headed towards the lake. By the time she got back to school she wasn't sure if she even wanted to see Datyn after last night. Sitting next to the pile of pebbles she started working on it again.

Scottie leaned back and bumped into a pair of shoes. Rolling over she saw they were hers and she read the note. Getting up she headed to the boys dorms trying to find him.

Scottie found his room and knocked on the door waiting for him to open it.

Scottie was standing there holding her hands. She looked up him and said "I'm sorry about last night."

Scottie walked in and looked around his room curiously.

Scottie looked at the pictures and then looked back at Datyn. "About last night..."she began.

"I shouldn't have told you to stay and none of this would have happened." she said looking out his window.

"My parents are going to kill us both when Blake tells them." Scottie said ringing her hands.

"My mom set me up with this guy Kent and I'm suppose to be going with him to the Founders Party."she said "My mom doesn't trust me to find my own way."

Scottie looked back at him "Are they making you go to Founders Party?" she asked hopfully.

"I half hope so. Kent is such a bore I swear and he smells like a doctors office." she told him turning around.

"You wanna go do something?"she asked him putting her phone in her pocket.

"Where to?"she asked walking over to him.

"I say we go to the coffee shop and get something sweet then head to the lake. The ferry isn't here now so we can't leave." she told him.

Scottie walked beside him on the way to the coffee shop.
